For a few months now i have attempted to attend the public forums on RTW. sadly they are filled with noob bullshit and their admins know naught of multiplayer and its issues. the multiplayer section on those forums is utterly worthless. uninformative shit and pointless elections for king of rtw. Respectable clans have no business there. Thus, Me and Zeke have thought up a plan for a public forum for clans only. For clans, by clans, no noobshit.
If we get the support of our clans, we will begin with
A central area for tournaments, which will offer a collective place for clans to announce and join tournaments.
An informative are with information on every clan, including its website, age and tournament trophies including a timeline of all RTW clans, from founding till disbandment and their great achievements
A registration point for future clanwars, that prevents the breaking of the rules of engagement on either side in the latter by the following method.
1 clanleaders publicly discuss the terms of the war, publicly agree to them and they are registered. the whole community will then be clear on the terms. 2 If one side is accused of breaking the terms, a third party consisting of uninvolved neutral (mature) clanmembers will decide whether its deeds are an infraction to the terms, resulting in sanctions against the perpetrator should they be found guilty.
A system that prevents admins from gaining too much power based on the Trias Politica by Montesquieu. one set of admins makes the forum rules, takes a vote among the forum members, after which the new rule is approved, after which moderators will enforce these rules, and another set of admins observes wether the moderators do their job. Admins and moderators will not be allowed to vote in new law proposals. any staff member found guilty of corruption will be stripped of his powers and returned to member status, and will also not be allowed to vote for a certain amount of time. Any clan demonstrating a lack of maturity (example: Heavens Glory) will be the subject of a vote on whether they will be expelled from the forum for a set amount of time.
If our plan is a success we will continue to introduce new stuff relevant to clans.
Friends, Me and Zeke are convinced that this plan will lead to a more enjoyable online environment for clans, increase sportsmanship between clans and reduce the amount of noob shit we have to wipe from our mind with excessive drugs and alcohol abuse.
If noobs have a public forum, and are not horrifically murdered for it, why shouldnt the great clans?
