Cicero is a new player, and I have to say: I have beaten new players using Sele with Carthage!

sele has better missle (archers > slingers) the carthage bale slings are expensive while archers are cheaper and cost effective

also the sele cav is massivly strong ..sele has the ebst combination of cavarly i.e catas sythd milta cav greek cav companion cav ..



the sele inf are strong
pikes and silver legionaries are a killer combo


yu see carthages only chance to beat sele..and it alwasy comes down to its sarced band inf....
and possibly its jav cav depeends on user tbh

Couldnt agree more, but many new players cant use their cav properly, so if u have poeni inf guarding the rear of the sacred bands, you should be ok if you manouvre well:)

therefore i wuould save my arch..and then surround yu and just pepper yu with arch

best army for carth agasint sele in any situtation

is 5 jav cav
5 sacred band gg
2 bale slings
6 slings gg

or something like that

i disagree romewolf.if i am carth and i face sele i wont use so much light cav.2 should be more than fine.also i will use 1 heavy cav g/g just to hold the cata charge enough until inf can arive in time.i call it PINNING and i use it with almost all inf factions.1 heavy cav that will absorb enemy cav rush and will be able to hold until inf help arrives thus forcing opponent to withdraw the cav and maximising the chances of enemy catas routing because they are slow withdrawing
